Torn Between

At sixteen years of age, Carson Yoder knows almost as much as his father does about running a greenhouse. His one dissatisfaction is that his father keeps from him the amount of profit the business makes, which seems unreasonable to Carson. He is sure his favorite cousin—and best friend—Daniel would have been given that information long ago.Since Daniel’s father is generally more lenient than Carson’s is, Daniel’s interest and thinking in many things do not line up with what Carson knows his father wants for him. But Carson has his own weaknesses too, and his father has often said that neither of the two boys is a good influence on the other.When Carson faces something that takes all his faith and courage to handle, he must decide where his loyalties really are and what he will do with the results of his having been torn between the two forces in his life.
