The spine is decorated with cross-shaped topstitching placed between elevated spine ribs. The Smyth sewn binding and an extended black zipper that loops around to fasten on the spine with a silver snap button allow the Bible to open completely flat. A protective leather flap is added to the top of the spine to protect the pages from the metal zipper when the case is closed to keep the covers secure.
The interior pages are printed in black ink and accented with metallic gold decorative accents and gilt-edged page edges. The strong construction includes a sturdy zipper with a zipper pull, a lay-flat spine, two satin ribbon markers, and a thumb index. The double-column formatted text is presented in a 9.8-point type.
The Bible also acts as a record keeper. It includes a presentation page that can be personalized, a wedding certificate, and a family record that provides for marriages, births and adoptions, and deaths. An additional record-keeping page is dedicated to occasions to remember.
